The PRD number on a blackberry (9800, 9700, 9000, 8900, 8520, etc) can help get a 100% correct unlock code according to Unlockology.com. With only 10 attempts to enter a correct unlock code before hard-locking your mobile forever, you do not want to guess. The PRD number format has eight numbers and can look something like this: PRD-27486-021. You can find the PRD number by taking the battery off your blackberry and looking on the UPC label on the phone. The numbers are small so make sure you provide not only a correct PRD number, but a correct 15 digit IMEI number off your phone. Unlock codes can vary by country, service provider and phone model, so it is important that the information you provide is correct.

Here are some more examples of PRD numbers for Blackberry mobile phones:
PRD-12528-076, PRD-07109-002, PRD-07462-005, PRD-08279-005, PRD-08416-003, PRD-08449-002, PRD-08449-002, PRD-08873-002, PRD-09291-001, PRD-09600-002, PRD-11300-012, PRD-11300-017, PRD-11929-001, PRD-11929-001, PRD-11929-008, PRD-11929-019, PRD-11929-027, PRD-11929-028, PRD-11929-038, PRD-11929-043, PRD-11929-050, PRD-12190-003, PRD-12190-003, PRD-12528-003, PRD-12528-008, PRD-12528-009, PRD-12528-010, PRD-12528-010, PRD-12528-031, PRD-12528-031, PRD-12528-031, PRD-12528-033, PRD-12528-034,PRD-12528-034, PRD-12528-053, PRD-12528-053, PRD-12528-062, PRD-12528-062, PRD-12528-066, PRD-12528-07, PRD-12528-086, PRD-12528-089, PRD-12528-090, PRD-12528-098, PRD-12528-099, PRD-12528-100, PRD-12528-101, PRD-12528-103, PRD-12528-116, PRD-12528-120, PRD-12528-121, PRD-12528-121, PRD-12528-124, PRD-12528-128, PRD-12528-135, PRD-12528-147, PRD-12528-167, PRD-12528-169, PRD-1258-008, PRD-13940-003, PRD-13991-005, PRD-13991-032, PRD-14187-015, PRD-14187-015, PRD-14187-035, PRD-14187-222, PRD-14399-063, PRD-14569-007, PRD-14922-001, PRD-15056-001, PRD-15056-010, PRD-15057-001, PRD-15562-002, PRD-15562-011, www.unlockology.com, PRD-15562-029, PRD-15567-002, PRD-15567-002, PRD-15567-002, PRD-15567-008, PRD-15694-001, PRD-15694-008, PRD-15735-001, PRD-15787-018, PRD-17116-003, PRD-17116-011, PRD-17116-013, PRD-17116-028, PRD-17116-028, PRD-17116-037, PRD-17116-040, PRD-17116-051, PRD-17116-051, PRD-17116-059, PRD-17116-065, PRD-17116-069, PRD-17116-078, PRD-17116-078, PRD-17116-089, PRD-17116-094, PRD-17116-094, PRD-17116-095, PRD-17116-095, PRD-17116-095, PRD-17116-097, PRD-17116-098, PRD-17116-107, PRD-17116-107, PRD-17116-108, PRD-17116-108, PRD-17116-113, PRD-17116-121, PRD-17116-154, PRD-17491-002, PRD-17491-002, PRD-17491-002, PRD-17491-003, PRD-17491-007, PRD-17491-010, PRD-17491-013, PRD-17491-013, PRD-17491-055, PRD-17491-078, PRD-17491-110, PRD-17539-003, PRD-17539-004, PRD-17539-038, PRD-17539-043, PRD-17539-048, PRD-17539-078, PRD-17739-002, PRD-17739-004, PRD-17739-005, PRD-17739-014, PRD-17739-014, PRD-17739-014, PRD-17739-021, PRD-17739-038, PRD-17739-040, PRD-17739-048, PRD-17739-051, PRD-17739-052, PRD-17739-052, PRD-17739-052, PRD-17739-077, PRD-17739-077, PRD-17739-081, PRD-17739-109, PRD-17739-110, PRD-17739-110, PRD-17739-148, PRD-17739-157, PRD-17740-002, PRD-17740-004, PRD-28711-001, PRD-18172-018, PRD-18172-042, PRD-18172-045, PRD-18172-053, PRD-18237-036, PRD-18297-001, PRD-18792-018, PRD-18792-027, PRD-18796-003, PRD-18796-005, PRD-18994-003, PRD-19374-013, PRD-19374-014, PRD-19374-080, PRD-19502-002, PRD-19502-002, PRD-19502-002, PRD-19502-003, PRD-19502-004, PRD-19502-006, PRD-19517-002, PRD-19702-002, PRD-19702-002, PRD-20973-001, PRD-20973-010, PRD-21009-002, PRD-21414-001, PRD-22578-005, PRD-22578-005, PRD-22578-005, PRD-22578-005, PRD-22578-009, PRD-22578-009, PRD-22578-009, PRD-22578-009, PRD-22578-009, PRD-22578-011, PRD-22578-013, PRD-22578-020, PRD-22578-024, PRD-22578-033, PRD-22578-040, PRD-22578-051, PRD-22578-051, PRD-22578-064, PRD-22578-070, PRD-22578-072, PRD-22578-076, PRD-22578-078, PRD-22578-088, PRD-22578-103, PRD-22578-103, PRD-22578-107, PRD-22578-140, www.unlockology.com, PRD-22578-152, PRD-22578-161, PRD-22578-165, PRD-22578-168, PRD-22706-005, PRD-22706-016, PRD-22706-021, PRD-23593-001, PRD-23593-001, PRD-23593-002, PRD-23593-002, PRD-23593-020, PRD-23593-020, PRD-23593-020, PRD-23593-021, PRD-23593-023, PRD-23593-023, PRD-23593-041, PRD-23593-044, PRD-23593-044, PRD-23593-049, PRD-23593-049, PRD-23593-053, PRD-23593-053, PRD-24202-051, PRD-24330-001, PRD-24811-139, PRD-25688-002, PRD-25689-035, PRD-26208-014, PRD-26208-051, PRD-26211-020, PRD-26521-001, PRD-26604-009, PRD-26608-007, PRD-27484-048, PRD-27486-062, PRD-27603-002, PRD-27603-032, PRD-28116-002, PRD-28116-003, PRD-28116-003, PRD-28116-003, PRD-28526-001 , PRD-28633-027, PRD-29973-004, PRD-29973-036, PRD-30001-028, PRD-30025-001, PRD-30231-010, PRD-30607-043, PRD-30607-052, PRD-31024-001, PRD-33320-001, PRD014187-023, PRD-17739-077, PRD-17739-048, PRD-12528-073, PRD-23593-001, PRD-27603-002, PRD-31596-001, PRD-27603-031, PRD-27803-031, PRD-27486-021, PRD-31593-003

If you have ever tried to unlock a Blackberry, locked on a network carrier with operations in different countries around the world (ie. MoviStar), then you know how important it is to have the handsets MEP number. Having a reliable MEP Reader is the key to successful Blackberry unlocking.
Sometimes you think you are unlocking a Movistar Venezuela Blackberry Bold, when in fact it really is a MoviStar Spain Blackberry Bold. If this is the case, then you are guaranteed to get a wrong unlock code. And if your Blackberry only has a few attempts left to enter a correct unlock code, having the correct MEP can be the difference between successfully unlocking a Blackberry or becoming the proud owner of a brand new hard-locked paperweight. Confusing the network origin is becoming more common, with carriers like Vodafone, Digicel, Claro, MoviStar, Orange, T-Mobile, Three, Lime, TIM, and Zain expanding into new countries.
Nobody likes to end up with the dreaded zero attempts (more…)

Have you ever heard people around you say: “I unlocked my blackberry” or “My blackberry bold is unlocked,” and wonder, what are they all talking about? I asked the guys at Unlockology.com about this, and here is what I learnt.
When people talk about unlocking, they are often referring to the act of freeing up a mobile phone and making it their own. But why “their own” you might ask? Don’t they already own the handset? Well, the answer to this is that cellular phones, including Blackberry, are for the most part, sold by the network carriers through what is called a subsidization program.
A subsidization or subsidy occurs when a network carrier offers incentives to a buyer to purchase a Blackberry or other Smartphone at an attractive discount. Most of the time, cellular mobile phones are sold below cost by the network service providers. In order to qualify for these discounted prices customers must enter into a contract with the network provider and agree to the terms of that contract. This contract is a means of protecting the service providers’ initial investment. The provider builds-in the discounted portion of the handset into the monthly service fee for the use of voice or data communications on their network. Their intention is to recoup every penny of their investment and more.
As a second measure (more…)
